PRIMARY PURPOSE:

We are seeking a reliable driver with a good driving record who will drive the Grip-Tite truck to Des Moines and surrounding areas to pick up product and other materials.  The driver shift is anywhere from 3-5 hours per day and approximately 10-12 hours per week.  Tuesday and Thursdays are regular days with a possible Wed. or Friday on occasion. 

The Driver will typically leave the Grip-Tite facility in Winterset around 7:30 or 8:00 a.m. and would deliver back by 11:30 or noon most days.  

CDL not required.  

FOCUS:

• Make multiple stops to Des Moines and surrounding areas to pick-up and/or deliver product.  
• Ensures all materials are picked up and delivered as specified.  No material defects, damages, etc.  
• Checks to ensure truck is in good driving condition and schedules maintenance as needed.  
• Checks in with the shipping coordinator before each route to receive any special instruction regarding each stop are received. 
• Follows safe driving protocol and ensures seatbelt and proper PPE is worn as needed.  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Good driving record.  
• Familiarity with Des Moines and surrounding areas preferred.  
• History of driving for work purposes and experience or exposure in manufacturing and warehouse setting preferred.  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· This position requires some sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching with the ability to be mobile throughout required work sites. The employee may lift up to 50 lbs.  

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to enter into a manufacturing / warehouse environment with some exposure to changing temperatures (hot, cold, humid), moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. The noise level in the work environment can be loud; vibration levels are moderate.

COMPENSATION:

· Competitive Hourly Pay - $18.00-$22.00 based on qualifications, experience and shift.  

· Part-Time, Flexible Schedule. 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT TESTING:

External hiring into this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre-employment / post-offer drug screen, MVR check, and background check.
